SAMPLE PROJECT · LOCAL SEO DEMONSTRATION

Local SEO action plan

A fictional service business plan covering accurate business information, useful local pages and genuine customer reviews.

Demonstration only. This is a fictional example, not a paid client project. No measured outcomes are claimed.

BACKGROUND & PROBLEM

The example brief.

A fictional local service business needs consistent information and useful location or service-area content.

Consider a fictional business that visits customers to provide a local service. A potential customer needs to know what work is available, whether their area is served, how to contact the business and when a reply can be expected. The plan starts with those practical questions and the information the owner can verify.

The initial worksheet would collect the real-world business name, current contact details, services, hours and service area. It would distinguish a location customers can visit from an address used only for administration. That distinction matters when considering a Business Profile and the information presented to nearby customers. The fictional business would not receive a profile as part of this sample.

The owner would also identify existing listings and the website pages that explain the service. The planning task is to compare those records, flag uncertain details and decide who should approve corrections. Useful local content would answer real customer questions about the actual offer. A location name alone would not provide that explanation.

ROLE & SCOPE

Demonstration planning.

Illustrative content, structure and deliverable planning for this portfolio. No live client implementation is represented.

  • Business eligibility and name, address and phone consistency checks. The worksheet would establish how the real business operates before considering a profile. Its name would be recorded as used in the real world, and its address or service area would be checked with the owner. Contact details and hours would be compared across relevant records. A discrepancy would become a question to verify, with the source and proposed correction retained.
  • A local service-page content outline and profile review checklist. The page outline would describe the actual service, tasks included, areas served and way to enquire. The profile checklist would review relevant categories, hours, contact methods and business details against the owner’s approved information. Additional location pages would be considered only when they have a useful purpose and accurate, distinct information for a customer.
  • A plan to request honest reviews from actual customers. The request would invite feedback about a genuine experience without payment, discounts or gifts in exchange for a review. A simple record would note when the request was made and whether a public response needs attention. Replies would stay relevant to the customer’s feedback and avoid sharing private information about the job or the customer.

ILLUSTRATIVE LOCAL PLAN

Start with accurate business information.

01 · VERIFY

Eligibility and details

Confirm the real business model, service area, opening hours and profile eligibility.

02 · CLARIFY

Useful local pages

Explain the actual services, areas served, contact method and customer questions.

03 · DOCUMENT

Consistency and reviews

Track accurate listing details and request honest feedback from real customers.

A review checklist.

  • Confirm the business record. Review the actual name, contact details, operating hours and service information with the owner. Identify the source for each detail and mark anything that is still uncertain. For a business that travels to customers, establish how its service area is represented and whether customers are received at an address. Use Google’s current profile guidelines when interpreting eligibility. Keep approval attached to the proposed change so the record can be maintained later.
  • Review the customer-facing information. Compare the website and relevant existing listings with the approved record. Check that a visitor can understand the service and reach the contact method. Review profile categories in relation to the real business rather than treating them as extra keywords. For the website, check the service description, navigation and enquiry destination together. Record the specific difference that needs attention instead of adding a new location page to every task.
  • Document corrections and follow up. Record what was changed, where it was changed and whether the new information is visible. Some profile changes may require review, so distinguish a submitted correction from a published result. Keep the outstanding checks with the handover. If performance is later measured, use real profile or website data with a stated period and source. Review requests and customer replies would remain an ongoing service process rather than a promised ranking technique.

EVIDENCE & OUTCOME

What this sample demonstrates.

This is an illustrative plan for a fictional business. It is not a live Business Profile, and no map rankings or lead increases are claimed.

The proposed deliverables are a verified-information worksheet, a list of records needing review, a service-page outline and a review-request process. The worksheet would retain the source and owner approval for each business detail. The correction list would name the affected record, proposed change and check needed to confirm the published result. Those items make the plan usable by the person who maintains the business information.

A sample page outline would answer four questions: what service is provided, where it is available, what the customer should prepare and how to make contact. The business would supply the facts and approve the explanation. Any images, customer feedback or qualifications used later would need to be authentic and appropriate to publish.

For a real project, the handover would separate approved information, submitted changes, verified live changes and remaining work. A future performance comparison would identify the reporting source and dates, rather than treating a corrected profile field as proof of more leads. This example demonstrates the planning and record-keeping process. It does not create a live listing, represent customer reviews or report a completed local SEO campaign.

The examples on this page are the demonstration itself. Real project screenshots, dates, role details and sourced metrics can replace this content later.
